ok i was always against using loops in my shit, but the more i fukk wit them at work i see there usefull and pretty tweakable, so i ordered battery and kontakt......you guys know of cool sample cds? not really looking for synth loops or single notes, just percussive klangy shit. any ideas?

well not really coz, native instruments hooks us up ridiculously. $30 for anything in there library, except reaktor is $50.......so i figured droppin $60 on $500 worth of software is acceptable :wink: the only catch is we can only order 2 a month......got the next chance marked on my calendar :) (then i gotta hunt down a mackie rep and see what i can get a uad-1 for)

and fd here (http://www.hardsoundz.com/samples/coldsample1.mp3) is an example of what a sample cd has, but besides having loops on them they have just individual percussive sounds and effects that you can use anyway you want, or you can slice up loops and tweak em n shit. a sampler is an instrument, but no i still wouldn't take a loops and directly plug them into my shit, but i would twist the shit out of em until the guy that made them couldn't even recognize them. if it sounds dope, it sounds dope.......don't hate bitch :bird:

yeah i been diggin reason, i don't use the sequencer in it or nuthin cuz it runs super tight with cubase, just sequence it from cubase and route the audio outs right through cubase too. i'm thinkin a gettin that mackie uad card too, i got shitty plug ins and that uad card is warm as hell and won't beat up my little pc either. (have you noticed i'm glad i went into a computer based set up? :) ) first i gotta get a roland xv-5080, it sounds crazy but i actually miss my roland sounds :sad: plus i still got the expansion boards and the software for the patch editor makes it just as easy as a soft synth (and again saves beating up my little pc :wink: )

Yo, I just picked up the country card. I know it aint your shit FrEk, but its got the fukkin dopest rhythm guitars I have ever heard on a synth! Gonna have me some fun with that shit!

yeah i remember i installed that for a customer and fukked with it for like minute, didn't like it at all though, but yeah not my thing at all either. i still got the techno, vintage synth, special fx (all of which dope) and the house (not as dope but better than the rest of the jv80 library, unless i could get my hands on that jv80-06 dance card that was discontinued over copyright shit, saw one on ebay go about 2 weeks ago actually) but that xv5080 joint'll hold all 4 a them plus 4 of those new srx series. they gotta a dance card for it i'm eyein and a platinum trax card base on the jv80 techno, house, hip hop, and special effects boards. that srx piano board is fukkin nice as hell too, figure i'll use that instead of steinbergs the grand (which hogs up your cpu like a mother) so i'll have one bad ass machine with that 5080 and still room for one more srx board......the best part is you can convert that digital r-bus out to adat light pipe with a converter box and then i can go 8 channels directly into my nuendo/rme sound card.......too bad they didn't just put adat optical right on the damn synth, but hey guess mr. roland gotta make the extra bucks buy sellin you the stupid converter box
