how long you been playin'? I can easily pick up on drum beats cuz i've been playin' for a while, but how long does it take til you can do it with a guitar? i'm tryin' to learn..i'll take lessons some day. til then it's just tabs.

three years i think, maybe 3 and a half. i just played coz i enjoyed it but its getting to the point now were i want to get really good (but i keep pissing my housemates off with the noise) :cuss:

if you got some experience on the drums it does come in handy when playing guitar and keeping a rhythm. i think.

okay, i still don't understand how you could play those notes all with one hand. i mean, we only have 5 fingers, and i'm pretty sure no one uses their thumb while playing guitar.....

i think i better start taking lessons....

you can bar shit, use one finger to cover several strings. since most of the chord is on the fourth fret one finger takes care of all that, so the whole thing is only 3 fingers. sometimes you use your thumb on the 6th string too, not a whole lot though........kinda miss having a guitar, oh well

don't worry about that - takes a while for your first finger to tough up for bar chords... practice makes perfect :freak:
