:peace:

hey, this is my first time posting here. about a year ago a dug up my cassette (!!) version of the bliss album and havent been able to stop listening to it.
im completely floored by how beautiful and obtuse prince be's lyrics are...its pretty effin' amazing.

my only question (which is nagging me deeply, y'all) is WHATS THE #%)(&% DEAL WITH CHRISTINA APPLEGATE?! i mean, for'reals...my brother had a crush on her in, like, 7th grade or something but is she known for something intelligent that im unaware of?
cold lamp me, please!
looking forward to some catch up reading at this forum...

XOXO

In answer to your question, Beatnik...I discovered P.M. Dawn through a friend. It was shortly after "The Bliss Album" came out in 1993, and I was hanging out with one of my best firends, and he put on that CD. I absolutely FREAKED, and asked him who the artist was. He told me, and the next day, I went out and bought both "The Bliss Album," And "Of The Heart..." I have been a huge fan ever since!

For me, i have loved PM Dawn since the beginning with "Set Adrift". I remember hearing it on the radio and just loving it! I didnt even know who the artist was, and when my bf at the time (my freshman year of high school) made me a mixed tape, he had that song on there for me. I had to ask him who it was, and shortly afterwards i went out and bought the tape. As soon as the Bliss album was released and "Patient Eyes" was on the airwaves, i became a die hard PM Dawn Fan!

Well, I've been a fan ever since the real big PM Dawn guy squeezed into my little Dodge Colt and his friggin hair dye permanently stained the ceiling upholstery.

Of course, there was short period of a little bit of "hatin" in there somewhere.  :weird:

I first heard "set adrift" on the radio, and I bought the cassette. It was the first cassette I ever bought. I fell in love with "paper doll" and "the beautiful". Since it was the only cassette i owned, I played it over and over and over until it totally broke!! then I fixed it with scotch tape -- so part of "The beautiful" was missing...

as soon as it came out, i got the bliss album -- which ended up being one of the first cd's I ever owned. To this day it is my favorite p.m. dawn album, and one of my favorite albums of all-time. "I'd die without you" and "the ways of the wind" wrap themselves around my heart everytime I hear them. All the songs on that album are just incredible.
