you shouldn't have gave nas a chance. he sux lately. So does this pop rap crap. I hate ja rule and to me nas is in the same category, along with nelly. They all suck baaaaaaaaaaaaaadly. Have you heard, "got your self" by nas? the beat is waaaaaay wack. I call it "cardboard beats" Boooooooring. ear sore

i didn't necessarily give him a chance...i just found the song and thought it was cool...i still haven't/don't want to listen(ed) to any more of his stuff. if the roots rapped over true, i'd be much happier

I can't believe you count Nas in the same category as Ja and Nelly. I've never heard any Nas songs about keeping girls drugged up on ecstasy or buying a pair of shoes.
no disrespect intended to Ja or Nelly.

Screw lyrics.....I know Nas is waaaaaaaay better than ja rule and nelly in that department.....But if you wan me to hear what youve got to say than you better come with a dope beat.......not some boring trash with no rhythm. "you got your self" is fudged up syncopated beat that has no constant tempo. and it sounds sooooooooo boring. I read an article about how stupid producers like jermaine dupree and even p diddy have had to cut back their budgets with distribution because thier music is not selling like it used to..HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, I wonder why.....I read on and the editor of the article says that it is due to, quote,"poor quality music." This was either in vibe or the source magazine. I can't remember which one. It seems like everyone puts out crappy beats now a days. That is why underground producers are better because they are willing to experiment with different sounds. Thats sad because I used to listen to underground rap because of just the lyrics, now its for both lyrics and crappy beats. DMX is one of them too. Crappiness and I know he shouldn't be to blame. Damn swizz beats suck a fat ass. Everyone has been poisoned with crappy producers. Even Eminem needs to work on some of his beats more. His singles that he released were good, like Lose yourself, but have you heard the ones he produced for fifty cents? Boring card board beats. Ill say it a again.......CARD BOARD BEATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just as tasty as putting card board in your mouth. Enough said!!!!!
HIEROGLYPHICS FOR EVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i thought that $.50 beat was kinda hot, for the most part pop-"rap" music i think has gotten too clean......there all making shit straight out of a triton, that's why the thin sound
i can't even listen to hip hop anymore. i've given up.

In da club was not produced by eminem......it was produced by dr dre. I was refferrring to the beats on the album not the single... I agree that single is phat as hell but the other tracks which were produced by eminem was boring and weak.. thats all
