Hax, I'm totally broke right now so I could only give (seriously) a "couple of bucks"...
If I ever get a job and I'm off my big fat 100$ "don't spend it all in one place" weekly unemployment check, I'll try to make a real donation...

Hax, how much/what do you need every month (in terms of server space etc., not necessarily money).

I own the server this forum is on, so we have a dedicated server for just the forum. The problem is the cost of the connection...we were on bonded T1's when I had my computer biz after I closed it we have since downgraded to a 768/768 dedicated SDSL with a handfull of static IP's, the site itself is about 200mb that's counting member sites, photogallery, and whatever else I stuck in there, the forum database is about 110mb. So more or less it's not really a bandwidth or space issue it's the connection, I get it for $159/mo flat rate unlimited bandwidth per month so when you do the math that allows about ~170gb of transfer per month I use alittle of the bandwidth for development reasons like to show customers how their website is going to look and make changes before it goes live but those are few and far between, leaving us with some unused bandwidth thats just sitting there.
I used to be a pretty big webhost so I'm getting that back together and if all goes well I'm gonna move this server and my old hosting servers over to an OC-12/48 network in Atlanta and put this one on a capped 3mbit connection and let you guys have at it with a bunch of free webspace...I just got to dig out of this hole at the moment, and the forum is on the bottom of the list of things to spend money on right now...yes it's a big project of mine that I enjoy but it doesn't pay the bills. I don't want people to have to pay for this place and the company of many nice and interesting people, so this is why I put the button on the main page instead of the membership idea that's been tosed around since I don't know when.
I'll be back on top soon, and the forum isn't going anywhere since I'd really like to see where it goes in the next 5 years, and if worse comes to worse I carry backup plans for everything in my pocket.
