Hmmm...for some reason, I have an achin' to watch a few classics like "Tootsie" and "Some Like It Hot" this weekend...I can't imagine why.
Hell, I think I'll even catch that "Juwanna Mann" crap on pay per view. :umm:

I am all about old movies...anything with Bogart, Hepburn, Portier, Elizabeth Taylor, James Cagney, Bette Davis...I love "Some Like it Hot" -- classic Marilyn...boy they knew how to make movies back in those days...some of my top picks:
"Casablanca", "A Lion in Winter", "The Maltease Falcon", "To Have and Have Not", "Now, Voyager", "Jezebel", "The Little Foxes", "Who's afraid of Virginia Wolfe?", "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", "Yankee Doodle Dandy", "A Patch of Blue", "Master Harold and the Boys", "Breakfast at Tiffany's", "A Roman Holiday", "gypsy", ...wow I coudl go on forever!
Actually, interesting factiod: the guy who wrote Breakfast at Tiffany's intended for the leading female part to be played by Marilyn Monroe -- in a way it ruined the whole movie for me, because when you watch it, Hepburn plays the part very shallowly -- which always seemed fine, until I learned about the Marilyn thing, and then I realized that the author was essentially writing Marilyn's biography in the movie -- hick girl, marries young, runs away to hollywood where she is taught to properly speak and act...the whole story was about his feelings for Marilyn, and now when I watch it I don't like how Hepburn played the part at all...

"OK Alex, I'll take "Dead End Jobs For Hicks And Rednecks" for $200."
"The answer is...This is the occupation that every redneck dreads, 'cause it means that though his life couldn't possibly be worse, it has no chance of getting any better either."
"What is a "Mattress Salesman in a dead hick town" Alex."
"Correct! You still control the board."
