And anybody else I might have left out...
Anybody wanna do a remix of "Computer Age (Push The Button)"???
I've got accapelllllllllaaaaaaaaas!!!
If I really like any of 'em I'll include it on the Newcleus album I'm finishing up.
If I really like a few of 'em I'll release 'em on a single or EP.
Of course it's a "work for hire" situation, and this sorry ass broke mofo ain't got no upfront money to pay nobody, but I will pay a fee out of the gross on the album sales...and I will pay points if there's a single or EP!
So holla at yo boy!!!

I do remixes, and I could do it..
I usually plug some crazy ass drum loops in my songs, well depends on how the vocals flow and what bpm its wanted in...

(me)
hope there aint a tight deadline (but me thinks not with you  )
how about some midi files (type 1 preferably) to save a brother a little time, even if you just wanna play it real quick and sloppy.

The song has been redone from scratch (the original was pre-MIDI anyway). I guess I can email the MIDI files to those who want them, in that way I can keep track of where they're going.
Oh, and FrEk, I'm gonna come and check you later this week.

CP Time!
cool, stop down.....we've got a used virus A and a new virus C in stock, if you're interested i'll buy it under my name and get you a better price. yamaha just released the motif es and we still got some original motifs that i can get for a good price and there's still a pair of used ns10s in the back for cheap, i think one a the dj guys might buy them for himself though. oh yeah i almost forgot, i'm hiding a used SP1200 and mpc 3000 in the back too. other than that stuff and cables though i don't get a huge break on stuff without going directly to companies but i'll hook you up however i can. and yea bring the atmosphere, i finally got my copy of nuendo 2 so i'm bout to do a fresh install of xp so i'll need to reinstall everythin.
man... how much for the sp-1200?
btw, nuendo 2.01 is out:
http://www.hot.ee/n201/
and logic 5.5.1 (i think this is the last pc version):
http://www.hot.ee/logic5/
and cubase sx 1.0.6.78 (though cubase sx 2.0 is out soon):
http://www.hot.ee/stsux/
yeah nuendo 2 been out for a minute, i was gettin a licensed copy sent to me though and it finally came through. sx2 is done and it's out there, won't hit the stores till the 1st week of october though so i guess cracks'll start showing up the 2cnd week of october  . i didn't even get to check on the sp, i was typin it up in the system to find the sku and get a price today and my boy i work with stopped me right quick cuz he wants to buy it...the funny shit is he's got 2 of em already and wants a 3rd! i doubt i'd use one a those, but he says he's got a formula for em. speakin a toys like that, supposedly an mpc 1000 is comin out. spose to have the same specs as a 2000xl with 4 outs and 128 megs in a much more compact housing. i'm guessing it would only have one midi out too, but that's just a guess.
ahh.. the only thing the sp-12's are good for is their signature gritty lo-fi sound. those early emu dac's were 12 bit, 22k which gives it that digital 'warmth' if you can call it that. i'd like to get one eventually, they just go for such ridiculous amounts still, it's not even worth it.
i think you can get a 12 much cheaper than a 1200 and from my understanding they have the same sound but you can't save with the 12 (which right there would kill it's usefullness totally for me at least), but i honestly wouldn't know if they really sound the same, never heard a 12 and only have had bout an hours worth a time with a 1200.
oh coz, here ya go:
Opcode Galaxy Virus adaption (http://www.access-music.de/downloads.php4?product=virusa&file=59)
OS 2.8 for Virus A [English] (http://www.access-music.de/downloads.php4?product=virusa&file=41)
i honestly don't know what os is in that one, but that's the latest one
Vocoder preset patches (http://www.access-music.de/downloads.php4?product=virusa&file=110)
there's also quite a few patches here (http://www.access-music.de/downloads.php4?product=virusa). alot of them were done on Bs and Cs but as far as i understand an A will read them but will just ignore any settings it doesn't understand, like use of a 3rd oscillator or something. oh and i fucked up, it's got 12 voices so you can gimme that phone call and curse me out if you need, but seriously my bad i got mixed up

DAMMIT FREK...12 FUKKIN VOICES!!!!!!!!! :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:
I was just gonna give you props for finding the patches and Galaxy shit, but now I'm fukkin pissed!!! I coulda gotten the fukkin Roland for less money if that's the case! DAMMMITT!!!!! :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:
BTW...You CAN save on the SP12...if you're lucky enough to locate a Commodore 5 1/4 inch floppy drive and the disks to go with it...good luck with that shit!
Also BTW...I think I actually have a Commodore 5 1/4 inch floppy drive somewhere that I'm willing to part with for cheap!
awwww my bad, really. give it a week or 2 if you really aint feelin it return it (you can go to any sam ash to do that too). make sure to give it a minute though, it's much fatter than the roland or korg or anything else in that range (it's made in germany after all, those guys are fucked up but they make the best shit out there)
oh, more stuff:
manual & addendum (http://www.access-music.de/downloads.php4?product=virusa&file=49)
just make sure you dump the os update into it if need be to get all the vocoding functions

Okay, here's the lead vocal.
www.pmdawnonline.com/~coz/ComputerAgeVocal.aif
It's a fairly large (30megs) stereo 16bit file. It's made from 2 raw and grundgy mono trax both with autotune applied and panned at 3 and 9 oclock. Feel free to manipulate and process it to your hearts delight (I will). It's already fairly lo-fi. I forgot all about the MIDI files FrEk but the chords are E minor, G major, F major, E minor. When I get back I'll put up the vocoder and female chant parts if y'all want, but feel free to add what you wish.
Have fun y'all!

nah but anyway for real let's hit Coz with some dope ass mixes yall. I got this shit in about 5 different modes right now.
i honestly don't know when i'll even be able to get to this, but it seems like a fun project. guess i'll have to dig out a copy of the song, i aint even heard it in quite a while.
ya, i dunno if i'll get around to it either. i think the track is dope, and even more relavent now than it was in the mid-eighties, but i figure i'm gonna be too burnt out by the time i polish off the "more than likely" remix
