the lyric booklet in jesus wept says "failing", not "falling".

Dunno...but I suspect the lyric sheet could be wrong...there's a bunch of mistakes in the Bliss Album insert.

well, i think the booklet's correct in this instance, as was hiero's original impressions. "falling" doesn't really make any sense in that context

failing gets my vote, because of the context and that is what it sounds like to me.

yeah you usually have to make your own idea & agree or disagree when you read the lyrics. there is always a chance it could be wrong.
