Yea, Keep it up Lisa...i guess it's a woman thing, we all see some area of improvement in our selves...which is a good thing once we actually put it into practice. Im gonna start focusing on low carbs, high protein...taeboe, aerobics and weight training for a little while. We all have different approaches that works best for us, but just know that Im in your corner sis,...cuz I know how it feels abt the abs...

That is one of the best "pains" a girl can ever feel, so enjoy it!!! ....

I so totally agree with you that. I went back to doing the Low Carb, well Atkins. The first time it did awesome, it works so well for now. I lose it, I feel better, my sugar isn't all out of wack.
I've had so many people down my throat about it, but it actually is great for my med history. Also, I mean duh you can't do atkins for life. you can't constantly eat tons of meat and not expect your liver to take a major hit.

I am doing some walking, well more than the flipping miles I work while seeing patients, abs, mild pilaties (damn that is killer for you abs), and Tae-Bo. I've got two great ones to do I'm excited about for Tae-Bo.

The hardest part...honestly..is trying to convince other people you can't just start exercising one night, do 50 situps and 50pushups and not expect to A. hurt, B. to hurt your body. Its all about moderation and what works for you. Its Amazing how many people don't know there are certain exercises they shouldn't do for condtions/problems they have and end up upset with things aren't working or they are in pain. (sorry Mild frusteration there since I worked in our Physical Therapy clinic for a long time before moving full time to the Doctors side and doing BOTH you see how little people know and try to do themselves sometimes)

(Ok INTERESTING STORY OF THE DAY-I bought a generic workout DVD set of various workouts. I like doing different things and while waiting on a friend to pass on her vast collection since she's a fanatic about it, I thought what the heck...I'd try it out) I swear each one was worse than the one before. THey were like from the 80's. It was horrible. ANYWAY....so one of the ones was a Jazzethics with Traci Lords (YES, I Know..already questionable) well she starts off not even doing an introduction, whatever, talking as she is stretching or whatever. I KIDD you NOT, it was exercise porn. it was Hilarious!!!! They weren't even staying on her to show the movements she was doing. They were panning up and down her body, shots from above so you could see down her top, it was too damn funny. I couldn't use it..it was freaking hilarious so I thought I'd share)

Thanks Liz...you take it easy and i'm sure you'll be successful.

Sweets...hehe right back at ya. I know ya hear me, good luck for you too!!

Exercise porn? hahaha  Ya,...an exercise tape that probably would benefit me more, would have to be like maybe...Taeboe,...cuz id much rather a vigerous workout session, cuz that other mess wont cut it...lmbo.

We just hafta keep each other posted and motivate. Atkins dont work for me personally, but we gotta just go with what works best for our own metabolism and personal preferences... I really like the Body For Life challenge by Bill Phillips,...because it targets the final physique that I want...

If I could only get into my workouts and keep my tail focused! haha
 :haha:

haha Tim, now thats speaking the truth!!

Yeah tell me about it Sweets. Its too damn hard to stay motivated. We are snowed in today...have i worked out yet..lol not yet.
Plus we were gone again of out area all weekend, especially being tempted with foods at a casino when ur hungry at like 3 in the morning, hard stuff!!

Definatly...I agree..lets keep posting to work on that whole motivation factor. Even with what I have cheated i've lost 3lbs in 5days, usually i lose more but I had to factor in my little cheats, hehe.

Thanks Sweets. U gotta keep me on how you do as well!! I know you have the determination.

I had a great day. Snowed in again but used it at least productive today.

I got thru a whole half hour work out of Tae-Bo. Then later today I did another 30 of kickboxing Tae-bo, 10 min of walking, and lol..could only get 5 of Abs in. Damn abs kick my butt.

At least i can tell a different...another pound gone! :)

more power to ya sista! I can NOT drag myself out of bed early. I have tried, just doesn't work unless i'm going to work.

I am hooked on Sketchers..I must have like 8pair. Not the best for running shoes though.

Plus i'm not up to running just yet. my damn knees are messed up. But hey...kudos. man...7lbs thats a great low number to work on.

I miss the gym...about two years ago when I was in a bad car accident I stopped, I used to go everyday.

At least I have Tae-Bo to keep me focused right now.

anyway..keep it up girl! :)

Keep up with the Tae Bo, Lisa. A girlfriend of mine that I used to work with lost sooo much weight just doing 20 minutes of Tae Bo a day after having her second child. The before and after was amazing. She looked a little heavy before, and the after affect was almost TOO skinny. I mean, the girl was thin. I'm sure you'll be successful.

I need to lose 20 lbs.

Thanks Liz!

hmm yeah I've been *knock on wood* religious about doing a 35minute workout everyday. Then like every other day I do two other 10minute Abs & Walk Aerobics.

I know the weight is coming off slowly, i have a TON to lose, but the inches flew off, so at least I feel like I am getting that positive reenforcement i need to keep me motivated.

:)

Oh come on, i'm sure you look great just how you are!!! :)

Lisa-- I look okay with clothes on, but underneath I'm hiding a lot of fat. I gained 40 lbs during the pregnancy and only lost half of it. Everyone says it'll fly right off me, but I'm not so sure. I mean, I know I'm beautiful no matter how much I weigh    but... you know.

No... you boys don't want to see the progression (at least not in me), trust me. And my "bootay" won't be changing at all between now and then, it'll just be my stomach and my thighs. So you are being spared, honestly.

so rock on.

Hows it going Sweets???

I took a few days off from workout due to being sick but I picked up some exercise clothing and I'm set. No major weight loss this week but at least people are really starting to notice....which by NO means is a bad thing!!!

HEy Miss Lisa, handle it gUrL! :P I went to "Play It Again Sports" today with my friend, to look at some stair climbers, and bought some more dumb bells and free weights for my gym... I was looking into joining a gym, but ppl wanna talk too much, and its distracting from my workout... LOL :D

I don't know what ur workout plan is...but if u want buns of steel, try sum squats, and lunges,. along with whateva else ur doing. I like to increase the weights slightly with each set, but lower the reps...like 12, 10, 8, 6...(1 min break in between sets) ...then lower the weight and do 2 power reps without a break in between...that will BURN them legs and that booty UP gurL ! LOL :P :D

First....Syxx thats just wrong!! hahah

Sweets...shoo you know we gotta pull it together girl! I got some new weights awhile back. I don't mind lunges but they can be a major pain.

If I go back to the gym I'll go back to tapeing my knees & I'd be straight. I always did more lower extremity cardio than upper. The gyn can definatly be distracting. Plus with my new place I'm actually getting into being able to work out at home, by myself, etc. No one paying attention to what your wearing, or not wearing, etc.

I use the Tae-Bo for that. Also, whats good for those buns of steel.....knee lunges while on the floor...works the heck out of your buns!!

I usually do Tae-Bo, then Abs, and aerobic walking and depends if I am in the mood to do anything else by then. I've been working so late I can barley get into two workouts.

Keep plugging away, just be careful about hyper-extending,etc (sorry...job worries always kick in)
