A friend of mine gave me a bjork cd, I am not sure which one. But I like it WAY more than I thought I would. Is anyone here a fan of hers? Just wondering, cause before last night I was almost entirely oblivious to her and her music.
By the way, we have 30 inches of snow on the ground...from the last 10 days. Its been crazy here and now I am sick. F*ing headcold, beats just being a headcase. So you should now just call me 'coldcase,' the 'head' will be implied. And no you can't respond saying ah ha, you said 'head,' I am beating you to the punch. *punched*

Yeah, man she's one of my absolute favorites. She's right up there with PM Dawn, Ben Folds and Led Zep for me.    And Hax is right, those freaking videos are WAY f*ed up! I have all the videos she did too, and they're just crazy. Find out what album you got from your buddy, I'd be interseted to know which one it is you like so much. (You could just list a couple songs from the album and I could tell you which one it is too...)

I think Bjork is awesome. I have Homogenic, which has the songs Hunter, Bachelorette and Joga (<--my favorite Bjork video)-- oh yeah, and All Is Full of Love (another good video). She is a little wacky, but she's very original and creative and I respect her. I like her music.

her latest album is fucking dope, Vespertine... its pretty much an experimental IDM / glitch record, but bjork style

I saw her in concert at the Hollywood Bowl last August (?) and she freaking rocked the joint.   One thing that pissed me off though, was the closest seats weren't even available to buy. They were all given away by promotions, so we got stuck with the seats about halfway up, and we couldn't see that well. Anyways, she had pyrotechnics on stage, fireworks in time with the music shooting into the sky and her doing the herky-jerk all over the stage. She's such a spaz  .
Definitely awesome, if you ever get a chance, you should see her live.

The first song has her saying 'I'm so crazy, crazy....' over and over. I don't know if this will help, but it might be a mix cd too.
I guess I will be doing some cd buying over the next few days. Thanks for the info chris, eliz and atma.
