ok this is what i think..but im sure you'll do whatever u do be...
i think for pm dawn..where you should go from here... is to do a real indi record.. really keep going on that path of christian and fucked...go right away from anything remotely pop..dont spend any $$ on players for the record or anything..no samples..... dont try and make a record that will appeal to that whole audience..but more a songwriting audience..people that appreciate good music..and then just get it released to amazon..dont worry abt gettin it in stores or anything..just amazon..and that way ..any1..all around the world can get it... and then rely on word of mouth..u sort of gotta go back to the start..and build up again..because the longer time goes on..years between the last album..its just hurtin you..anyway my 2 cents...and muthafucka I GOT FAITH IN YOU whatever you do

One thing i'll add to things is when you got sounds in your head and you *know* what you can do it's tough to move from that. Perhaps tho you can take it as a challange to see what PM Dawn would sound like in a minimalistic sort of conditions. (Using musique concrete and all that smancy sort of stuff)
I think your voices will shine thru on anything you'd do to be truthful....BUT it's something you'd want to do. I enjoy things produced to the nines so if i were making records i'd probably feel the same as you Be.
dude...even minimal is expencive when you have to blast it with high gloss
but i see your point...and it is duly noted<------is that how you spell duly...it doesn't feel right

Yeah, that's how you spell duly, but not how you spell expensive. :P

My old man liked some song with a a Dooley in it but we are speakin of different Dooley's methinks. Is it Tom Dooley to the Rescue? Is that right!!? SOmeone ask my old man....
I know i got rock-headed(stubborn) about what i demand from myself in anything. So when i know i can do something and money or some other BS gets in my way it messes up my mojo. I feel ya....

I think you're thinking of "Hang down your head tom dooley" by the kingston trio.........

You are right on the money. In fact it was JIm DANDY who came to the rescue. Of course it was Jim Dandy. Go Jim Dandy....Go Jim Dandy. I hope to make no more Dooley mistakes.. One doozie of a Dooley is enough for me.

I try and get fancy and i smuck it all up. Back to basics for this guy! Crayons and wax paper is all i can handle....well maybe also sparklers....i mean those are pretty easy.

I got faith that you'll do whatever your heart tells you to do . . . and whatever that is, it will be as beautiful as everything else you've done. But just be yourself . . . work with what you have - you've got a lot of support for you to just do what you do. So just do it and sort it out later!!
Peace

I always thought it was "dually"... have I been thinking of that phrase with the wrong definition my whole life? Maybe I'm still stuck in little girl Santa Claus mode. You know. Making a list and checking it twice... ah man.

Dually spelled that way refers to 2 or double Elizabeth...as opposed to singularly.
Spelled duly it refers to due, as in "I gave you due notice, so I hope you have duly noted it". :)
I have the same problem as Be with "truly". In fact it felt so wrong I started spelling it "truely", just to have now found out that I was spelling it right all along.

dearest christian musta been a bit cause that sounds super glossy with extra sheen
i actually like the warm, grungey stuff, à la "being nowhere"... or the hate myself remix..
usually.... to make a pm dawn album costs about 150k but it varies effed music cost only about 15k...jim dandy cost me about90k...maybe more....utopian cost like 600k....then we decided to purchase a studio

OMG...
I had no idea....
damn-da-damn-damn, that is a lot of money, man!
Its kinda cool though, especially when you make way more than you spend  but I can see that it is risk.
ya, you could build the mother of all studios with cash like that... you must be talking about the cost of actually clearing samples and shit though...
well when we did utopian...we were just having a big ol expencive ass party...in england no less...i think we spent 30k in hookers alone...plus we stayed at the holidayIIIIInnnnn for like 3 months...so no...actually...none of it has anything to do with clearing samples...we were just actin a damn fool...and shit was great...most fun i ever had in my life...easily

I keep my hooker fund right at around 30K. Sometimes i think it might be a little too high but then i think....wait-a-minute.....These are Hookers!
Some of the best times i've spent(are no not with Hookers) is when i could just drop change on anything or everything i wanted.
