Black Eyed Peas

Saw their show last night at the Rave in Milwaukee...
Very energetic show -- I didn't enjoy their "Elephunk" album much...but they put on a hell of a live show. And their band was absolutely amazing! As an encore, the band came out and jammed for like 10 minutes straight...I was impressed. :rock:
They were followed by N.E.R.D. -- I wasn't all that impressed -- the guy has a good voice and all -- but he's definitely at his best in the studio.

It might just be me but i feel like i missed the boat on these guys. I've heard them a few times and i just don't think they are all that good. They aren't awful mind you ---but---nothing very special as well. Maybe there's a tune i should here before i blabber too much.....because a misinformed blabbering -Lum is a dangerous thing....

black eyed peas have killed it here in australia.. wheres the love.. no. 1 shut up.. no. 1 hey mama debuted at no. 5.. elephunk no 1 album..i got them doin a concert here on oz on tape..abt an hour..and hey mama was rather good live.. anyway bepare dancers not rappers..skills are very average

I don't know that they've "sold out", but they've definitely changed their style...put a lot of time and creativity into production...kind of reminds me of Outkast now.
But I agree...Joints and Jams is one of my favorite songs...and they did a real short version of it at the show...I was dissappointed.

And I don't know if you've seen fergie for a while...because the other night...she sure as hell had an a$$, and a rack, and abs you could set your watch to. :shock:

speaking of joints and jams , on the video there was a section of the song where it broke down a bit for them 2 do breakdancin , but is that version on any cd ?? i cant find it .. all the versions i find dont have that

Over here people are stupid when it comes to music....of course I am sure you are aware of that. I can't believe it.......oh and hero.....are some of the older RnB acts over there doing well???? Like BoyzIImen or some of the others that can't get an audience over here in the US. Cause BoyzIIMen Stated in an interview that in over seas they still can sell out an arena but over here in the US there is no love. NOt sure how it is in Australia. :dunno:

I gotta say...BEP put together a much more talented band for a live show than N.E.R.D. (and they didn't bring their chick :cry: )

Usually when I'm waiting through the half hour of commercials before I see the trailers of up and coming new releases before the movie starts. I see an infomercial called lid rock. And I assume all those bands are sellouts. I saw the aforementioned black eyed peas on it. :>

But I do happen to really like N*E*R*D live and on their two albums(ever heard the premix version of "in search of"?). Also like the track "loser" on the neptunes present the clones album.
