id take JC.....assuming he does the same thing that he does here, he wouldnt show up on my side of the island cuz he has issues with being able to navigate across sand..(hint hint *coughlearntousethecpuitisyourfriendcough*))...and if there ever was a need to climb a cliff, we could use his hair for rope...:)




for the person i wouldnt take....that would have to be Frek...cuz i dont want to sit there and do calc equations in the sand..that would flat out suck

At first I considered FREK because he could teach me how to live off tasteless, nasty, raw foliage. And we could use his piercings to conduct electricity and turn our island into a full-on Gilligan's Isle, with coconut radios and banana phones ... and Ginger!

But then, I thought about Be -- I mean, the proximity would FORCE us to become songwriting partners ... a dream come true!! But I realized he would probably be cleaning his garage on the ONE day of our trip and forget about me and our planned vacation ... so my plane would crash and I'd be on the island alone -- even though I chose him.

So then I consdered LUM ... but neither one of would ever get a word in. We would yap about useless shit so much, that the carbon dioxide expelled from our pie-holes would cause a plant growth EXPLOSION. And what if our little island plant problem started an eco system nightmare, with El Nino and Ice Ages and shit. Then Gore would be right, he would shoot his incredibly boring mouth off some more -- and my choice of LUM would be the cause. Can't take that chance!

Considered Hero in case the island turned out to be Australia. Then I'd have the perfect host! But aren't they all descended from crooks and murderers banished from England? -- at least, that's what my 1st grade history teacher told us. Then I'd be the only innocent in a land of criminals!

So, by process of a long elimination, I finally decided on ... Deity. Someone would have to help propagate our Island Utopia?! We could slow dance in the autumn wind underneath the solar eclipse (I did my research!). That is, unless my wife joins the forum before I'm plopped onto this island ... then I would choose her (you're off the hook, De!).


As for the anti-pick, it would have to be Rumi. I'd be afraid that we would get in a heated, violent debate on day 2, and I would lose control ... and my new primal, island-like id would overtake my usually strong Superego ... and BLAM, I'd zap her with a swordfish or a tree trunk. That's all fine and dandy, but what if she's some sort of prophet or chosen one ... then I'm the asshole eternally burning in some sort of crazy, mystical hell for my sin! I can't take that chance, so Rumi ... the tribe has spoken ...

I'd take be. He might be cleaning his garage once in a while, but that's one more time than me :) We'd relax, I'd cook a thing or two (I've got some pretty snazzy coconut based recipes in my pocket). All in all, we'd have a good time. Someone would eventually find us from my work because a deadline is coming up, or lawyers wanting to sue Be for something stupid again, so we'd take it as a vacation and see how long it lasts.

I can't really think of anyone I really wouldn't want to take. Tinker is about it, and maybe that jonbonson guy. I'm patient and long suffering, so I might end up converting Tinker before he drives me nuts. That or put that noose I learned how to make in scouts to good use. (On Tinker, not myself, I'm pretty sure God would understand and I'd get pardoned for breaking the "Thou shalt not kill" commandment. I mean come on, alone with Tinker on an island?????)

Okay, I hate for this to look like I'm taking the easy way out, but after thinking about this I realize that there are six people I could be stranded on this island with equally(in no particular order): Deity, Coz, Chief, Justafan, Tybris, and HieroHero.

These six have made me feel the most comfortable on the site. And since I never met any of them face-to-face, I would enjoy being on an island getting to know them.

Dee -- A special lady with a very warm heart, what's not to love. We'd workout together like on Venice Beach...my dawgette!
Coz -- We would argue..er...discuss (respectfully of course) all day long EVERYTHING, the time would pass quickly...my dawg!
Chief -- We would discuss sports (particularly football) and the evils of not having salary caps and decent market sharing...my dawg!
Justafan -- We'd chill playing scrabble and comparing poetry notes...my dawg!
Ty -- I'd help him finish writing that novel he still better be working on...my dawg!
Tim -- We'd recap every episode of "The Wire", "Six Feet Under", "Sopranos", "Sluts in the City" and especially "Oz"...my dawg!

I'd be happy to be on any island that'd be happy to have me. I had planned an elaborate scheme to build me own island and steal a LUCKY one of you to join me. Now i can pretend and maybe thats better for now.

I think i could more than likely be on the island with many of you. They key of course as Wino had pointed to is balance. You don't want to throw the whole world off keel with a cosmic inbalance of great proportions. I think i'd potentially pick SaintHax tho. Maybe it's the Banana riding the SLug thing .....maybe it's because i'm mad.

Hiero and i of course could act out Sam and Max comic scenes. This is a great pull. Maybe when i build my island.

Wino said he'd pick Be for a songwriting partner but i think maybe if we took all our words we might speak on this island we could come up with a great hodge podge(which sounds sorta soup-ish)....Of course no great hodge Podge is worth Al Gore.


Lastly the person i'd NOT want to be on the Island with......(drum Roll)ELizabeth"the freak-out months"---That drove me crazy. Drama like that on an Island could make me do many unmentionable things. (like Puppet shows)
That and myself. I have self loathing issues tho.....
