Okay gang, I'm gonna start the ball rolling with six parables to live by. Please feel free to add your wisdom to the list (as many as you like), you may actually help somebody, who knows. Do know whether this will catch on, but here goes:
PM Dawn Forum Parables To Live By (Volume I)
1. People do whatever the hell they want to do. If someone really wants to do something there is NOTHING you can do (short of killing them) to stop them.
2. People can NOT keep a secret. As Ben Franklin said, “The only way three people can keep a secret is if two of them die.”
3. Trust is one of the most precious gifts you can give away to another human being. Watch closely how they handle that trust (no matter how great or small).
4. Never go against something you strongly believe in right or wrong. Nothing ruins a personality faster than self-doubt. If it wasn’t that important, you probably wouldn’t believe in it so strongly, and being wrong a few times shouldn't shake your confidence.
5. Depression has its place in your world. You may need to cope with a few downs to really appreciate the ups. Your ups should be more prevalent than your downs.
6. No matter who you're dealing with or what the subject matter, nothing takes the place of good old fashion RESPECT.
I look forward to others. (or this post will just die, who knows :dunno: )
