This guy was in jackson with his new album out in 2002.. i hate i missed that show..
His first album was actually a demo cd, it was so good they just released it in the same format..
He then released Our endless Numbered Days... which is amazing.
his guitar playing, and incredible voice is veyr organic.. definantly somethign to chill to.
In febuary his Woman King EP comes out, i got a early copy and its some of his best music to date.

Miami's Sam Beam makes music under the name Iron and Wine and September, 2002 saw the release of his debut album, The Creek Drank the Cradle. That record was/is hushed, literate, intimate, melodic: a quiet treasure which, with its unaffected candor and depth, found fans all over. His woman king ep is kindof loose in various places.. it comes out in a few months.. different from his normal songs..

yeah, somebody gave them both to me a couple weeks ago. they're on my top five best bands list, i think. i wish they'd tour more. i bet they're amazing live.

Been meaning to listen to his stuff more often. I've heard the new Ep is going to incorperate strings and other various instruments.

I've been grooving to Elliott Smiths new one like there's no tomorrow. What would you suggest for a first pick-up on Iron & Wine?
