I have definatly had an electic taste as always when it comes to music.

After having the name written down for like a year I got the Album "Details" from artist Frou Frou.

This women flipping ROCKS!!!! people sometimes compare her to Bjork, but I'm not a fan of her's, so I don't. Her voice is awesome. The notes she can hit, mixed with the guy who mixes the music, I love it. I almost wore it out, good thing i have my Dell Player.

Also....Ingram Hill. I had picked this cd up on random up at a Music store in staunton,va. I was flipping thru tv one day & saw the video for "will I ever make it home". So...I was like Oh i should get that. Found i had it, (i'm horrible bad about getting stuff & not listening or watching it) and i love it. Right now it doesn't come out of my playlist. I play almost the entire cd.

Hmm, also another one I had picked up there was Brand New Immortals, they are cute. Splender like (pissed because I found out they broke up last year), check out the sing, "reason's Why" ....for instance lyrics, "Your halo is held on with duck tape...thumbtacks, luck, and gravity...."

I like a lot of alternative as well. I've had Nickelback's 2nd album since it came out, but about 6months ago I came across the song Because of You, very good.

ok thats a few for now you get the point....just thought I'd share since I had some time online!!

OK, OK. Jeez, you don't have to yell!

Yeah I have the Frou Frou album too and I like it, (my girlfriend likes it more). But the singer isn't that much like Bjork. I don't know I like both of them but Bjork is one of my favorites.

Those are my thoughts, I haven't heard the other artists you mentioned. Except for Nickleback... :barfkiss:

I didn't know those groups hardly at all....(which for the record doesn't happen too often!)

Upon listening to them i'd have say Frou Frou reminds me of too many things i've heard. Doesn't have a bad sound....reminds me a bit of Hooverphonic maybe?

Ingram Hill has that "alternativey" sound rolling out but with a bit of heart to them. From listening ito clips i could see getting into them. Sounded like decent melodies.....

Brand New Immortals from a sound perspective i liked the best. They seemed to balance the music and lyrics and feel of music to a nice level. Out of the three mentioned i enjoyed this one the most.

I'd like to come back at you with some different artists but.....well i'm stinky and the shower calls! ----more later!!!-----

well I'm glad i finally got some responses. Hey...its all good, lol.

Yeah I don't think she sounds like Bjork at all but other people have said that. She had almost her own sound. You could almost group her in Folk except for the music end of it. She can definatly hit notes even if I could sing I couldn't touch.

Frou frou has been reviewed has having the 2002 eurotechno mix to it. I mean it makes sense with the way the guys mixes but I like it. I think they manage to actually excentuate her voice.

yeah Ingram hill is right on the verge of wanting to be alternative in lyrics but border between Rascal flats & some of the Radio-easy pop bands. I love the way the sarcasm is just mixed in there while trying to sound all cute & hip.

I tried to look up Brand New Immortals while out today but couldn't find anything. They really tend to remind me a lot of Splender but without Waymon Boones deep voice, but not far off!! Although day before Xmas eve Circuit city was having mad sales but looked like it had been hit by a train in the music section.

thanks for checking my stuff out guys :) :urock:

I went looking today while shopping for music. I only managed to find two of the cds's I wanted.

I picked up Crossfade, which has gotten major airplay with the song Cold. The review was sorta bad, mixing them between Disturbed & nickelback but without the originality. I liked what i heard so that came home.

Do any of you guys listen to Brian McKnight? yeah I know, r&b. I want his new cd Gemini but they were out of everything, even the best of one I wanted, so I had zero luck.

other than that I did manage to pick up Jon B's new cd, Stronger Everyday. That is one hot man...

Lum....bring it on. I'd love to get some new suggestions :)

It really does seem to be. By the time I heard all the clips I wanted it. I don't know why its the strong yet somewhat silent artists that get a great following but people still never seem to quite to always know who they are.....
