The thought of that shit has always scared me to death. One major advantage of living in an urban area is plenty of street lights and the fact that all of the large wildlife walks on 2 legs.
I did almost have a heart attack breaking to avoid hitting some fool housecat that suddenly darted out in front of me not too long ago though.

see...rule number one when driving......do not break when an animal is in the way......im sure you know this Coz, but swerving causes more damage. especially since its a damn cat......

I didn't swerve, I broke, big ass street and I was the only one on it. I saved somebody's fool ass pet.

damn, good thing you weren't injured. I had a similar experince a few days ago. I went up to see the Minnesota Timberwolves game(vs the Cavs - Lebron) and I drove up into western Minnesota a day early just to hang out at a park and do whatever. Well it was 6 in the morning, I had just driven 350 miles from Midnight to 6 AM and I was kinda tired, to say the least. I was a mile away from the park when out of nowhere a doe comes running onto the road, I broke so hard that my stuff flew a few feet forward. Luckily I didn't hit it and it got off safe. Yeah Coz, living in the city greatly helps out in avoiding those situations.

you ever hit a kangaroo ether?
only when travelling in a bus .. lucky not to have come across one in the car.. had a few near misses and stopped for plenty of wombats and possums.. an owl swooped down straight into the grill killing itself and getting its head stuck !!!
arent you close to kangaroo areas hiero??
