What exactly did Be mean?

I think he meant:

They (someone other than yourself, and plural)
will try (attempt, but in the future)
to take (steal, or borrow perhaps)
it (gold? bunny poop? an indecent thought? a mystery ...)
all (opposite of nothing)
from you (from someone other than everybody else who is living)

at least that's how I interpret it? :D

I'm guessing Be had his son on his mind. It just has alway's struck me on such a personal level. As do much of his lyrics.

in my "meaning of pm dawn songs" handbook it says in section 7 point a in regards to certain lyrics and i quote "if in doubt the song is probably about God"
