Look up anyone you know (or don't know) in this database, and chances are you can find out how old they are and where they live, or have lived recently. I see this as an amazing tool for finding old friends and what-not, but it's far too easy to use to nefarious ends.
Fortunately, they don't have my address right, but two of my former addresses are plastered up there. However, rather than ask for it to be removed, I'd rather find out how to get a whole bunch of red herrings in there. I may not have three stalkers like certain people (and you know who you are), but I figure that it's a good policy not to encourage anyone.
BTW, did you know that there are 8 entries for Heywood Jablowme? :)

It's based on phone records, one of my old phone numbers shows up but the birthdate is my dad's since he was the owner of the account/line.

These searches are very scary and powerful at the same time. I used one of these to find my father. The one that clinched it for me was at www.intellius.com. From there you can pay $10 to find real estate data on a person you are looking for. Of course the person has to have purchased a house. Welcome to "1984".

It's scary, but I wouldn't say in a 1984 kind of way. This database is an example of the democratization of information. Big Brother won't have exclusive access to it, so he can't hoard it.
Considering that the guvmint probably already knows all about me, in a way it's somehow less disturbing knowing that the information is going the way of decentralization, and thus if others know things about me, I'll know things about them as well.

Good point Wheel, but I'm not crazy about my address information being made available to the general public either. It's all just a bit intrusive to me. Course, it's probably no worse than someone running a credit check on me. :(

The only address they have listed for me, is TEN YEARS AGO. and I didn't have a phone there.
