isnt that the one you did a positive review of on here? or has he had another since patience ? The "News Of The World" is one of the least reliable sources anywhere!!
when i was in the UK they got in trouble for trying to stitch up Brian harvey for planting cocaine on his ex girlfriend, it was false, they had commissioned Kemal Zorba (a so called friend of brians) to fabricate the story... he planted evidence etc

If you think they are any less reliable than the mainstream press (who has been alarmingly complicit with the scheming of the Bush administration for five years), then you might wanna think again.

Yeah, I'll admit that they are. But I'm trying my best not to laugh, because it's unkind. At first glance I loved it.. and still listening to it a few times.. but it isn't his best, and with as much talent as george has as a songwriter.. its a definant sleeper.

And how do you figure that he's down? The man is a multi-millionaire, and a talented artist with a 25-year career that many other musicians would kill for. This ain't a guy who's down on his luck; this is a celebrity who seems to have a talent for finding wacky ways to get the attention of the media. This is a guy who gathered a press conference to inform the media that he was going to drop out of the public eye. That's basically saying, "Start counting, because I want us to play hide & seek"
He's just hungry for attention, is all.

Personally, I don't think George has had a decent album since "Listen Without Pedjudice Vol. 1". "Patience" is merely O.K.

And speaking of that, I hate it when artists start a "series" (i.e. Vol 1) and then don't make an attempt to continue it (i.e. Vol 2, etc.). I was waiting for so long for a follow up to "Listen...".

I loved "Listen Without Prejudice"; great album. I haven't listened to "Patience"; to tell you the truth, this is the first I've heard about it. After hearing "Older" and that "Songs from the Last Century" thing, I admit that I wouldn't be in much of a rush to hear it.

And speaking of that, I hate it when artists start a "series" (i.e. Vol 1) and then don't make an attempt to continue it (i.e. Vol 2, etc.). I was waiting for so long for a follow up to "Listen...".
He probably would have, had it not been for that long, drawn-out legal battle with Sony.

As I understood it.. he actually did make a "Listen Without Vol. 2".. but with there was some complications involved, and a few of the tracks on Vol. 2 made it onto "Older".. but from what I hear, that album actually did get finished, but never released.
