I've been busy and stressed out as all hell.

Took and passed my comp exams.

Am scanning in a million 17th century books for a Database project for the library and my dissertation.

Doing research at the NYPL to make a little money before I starve to death.

Trying to sublet my place (almost done!) and trying to find a place in the Netherlands (oh, my, God...I want to cry! I can't find a place to live! This totally sucks!!)

Trying to get all my personal and professional stuff together so I can leave.

Ay ay ay ay ay ay ay ay ay.

Bought myself a 2006 Mustang, first new car purchase ever! So needless to say i am quite the happy camper. Today i am leaving for my timeshare in the Shenandoah Valley up in the mountains of VA. It's going to be a nice chill out week!

Plus now add in the fact i saw PM Dawn perform live well....i mean...damn it's been good!

I've spent the summer reading Irish newspapers and police reports from 1916. The hardest part is decifering the handwriting. Now all I have to do is finish researching and write a publishable paper in the next 2 weeks...good luck to me!

Needless to say I'm a little stressed out. However, the weather has been beautiful and the nightlife here is great.

That's funny, Alix...
I heard that you were busy working for the underground, assisting Gordon Freeman in striking a blow against an alien occupationist force that brought Earth to its knees in a single day and is crushing the human race under its oppressive heel.

Oh, that too.

I swear I've seen this thread all summer. there has to be another one floating around somewhere.

I'm working 40 hours a week at a college bookstore, and it's incredibly boring. but I noticed I got a raise yesterday! rollin' in 5.65 an hour now!

*in my old coot voice* Back in my day I made 3.35 working on campus, and I was darn happy to get it! You young whippersnappers just don't appreciate the value of hard work. ;)

I got to meet Be and Giggles and hung out with them before the S.F. show! Mines going pretty good, wouldn't you say!

Playing with the kids and taking the oldest to swim lessons has been fun.

Back surgery was a pain in the ass!
