I'm sorry I haven't been around much, moved house recently and having trouble getting a job so I can't afford to pay the internet charges at the moment.

It sucks not working, I had a hard time before but then I found a job and kept it for 4 years. I've been out of work for 6 months now and it's starting to get me down, I've applied for over 200 jobs and only two bothered to write me back. Unemployment is kinda high where I live now and everyone employes youngsters cause they cost less. Going to be looking into getting some computer related qualifications because that's the one thing im quite good at.

Oh well, I've been here before so I'm sure i'll make it eventually. Ive gone from being a "laser technician" to unemployed! I can't even get work in supermarkets.

Anyways, babbling away as usual but I just wanted to say thanks because I had a pretty uneventful birthday as you might imagine so it meant a lot to see all these messages.

And as terrick pointed out, I am married, I'm sorry I didn't let anyone know but like I said it's rare I get online nowadays.

Things should be better by january.

pm: I'm living in wales and I was a laser printer cartridge remanufacturing technician, the title probably sounds a lot more impressive than it is but it basically involved taking apart toner cartridges for laser printers and photocopiers and rebuilding them. It's not really a job I would want to get into again because the toner powder does all kinds of crazy stuff to my skin (probably my lungs too)

I'm just about to embark on a training scheme which should see me getting a low level job at an I.T company and then I can just work my way up.

I wasn't really earning much before but you sure notice it when you aint got shit!

It's all good though, not the first time I've been in this situation, patience and perserverance will see me through!

I was looking for I.T Work in the UK and took a job round the corner from where I was living as a stopgap till I could find I.T work and now I'll never work in I.T again.. what Im doing nourishes my soul !!! :)
