OK folks. Here it is. In print. This shit is not photoshopped, these are scanned directly from my son's "little golden book", a series of kids books that have been around since the fifties, recently re-revived.

I laughed my ass off when I saw this shit. Hope I don't offend anyone here.

What kind of racist bullshit is this! This is no better than Al Jolsten in blackface!! Don't blame anyone else when your kid goes up to a black person and starts trying to rub the "paint" off. I have never been so insulted in all my....;)

Hey did you notice how with just a little bit of black you're considered better (a "gorgeous" leopard) but too much black and you're considered worse?

Those Africans are such a bunch of racists.:p

When my son went to Headstart for preschool, he was the only white person in the entire building. Everyday, I would pick him up and he would be covered from head to toe in dirt, even his eyelids would be "painted". At first, he wouldn't tell me why he was doing it, then one day he said, "D'andre has blue eyes like me and when I do this, I look like him."
I started volunteering a lot that year and it was interesting, watching the kids touch his hair all the time and put their arms next to his to look at the difference (I guess). He stuck out, obviously, but not just because of his color. He was also the wildest kid in his class. He tried to teach the other kids how to jump from the top of the playground structure to (high up) branch of the tree beside it. Then, he would hang upside down from the branch.
Well, that didn't go too well since all but one (D'andre) of the other kids fell the 8 or so feet to the ground. Splat.

When he went on to Kindergarten, he went to an all white school. He stuck out there, too. Those kids would make bad faces when his Haitian grandpa would drop him off every morning. (He told me that they didn't like the "brown man".)

Sometimes, I wish everyone was the same color.

You know, this book is not actually racist. It's a book about how the leopard got it's spots. Thre rest of the book offers stories about leopards sticking leaves to their plain fur for camoflage and some other things. It was never meant to be a racial thing, I just thought it was funny 'cause of the name Giggles.

When read in context with the rest of the book, there's nothing racial about it at all - It's just when you remove it from the rest it appears to become something it's not.

I don't. I wish people could get over color meaning anything, but I don't wish everyone was the same color. I think it would be boring. Like all the cats in the world being orange tabbies.

Some would argue that a lot of people are already transparent.
