...I'll Be Waiting For You came up on random on my ipod...and i had the most surreal moment. my inner dialogue was like "omg, i know these guys! these guys are my friends! i could ring these guys if i wanted!"
and it made me think back to Jesus Wept and how much i love that album, and my thoughts on this album as just a fan back in the 90s.
performing Paper Doll with P.M. Dawn was a seriously a major highlight in my life.
please excuse my nerdy fan rant, but i know you guys can totally understand where i'm coming from. i mean, thats why we're here and all.
ps - :lapdance: i rarely see this used so i thought i'd add it here!

C'mon Be - whattya say?

Unfortunately we were in a casino so no camera's were allowed...but Chief got it in short video clips on his camera phone. I still gotta convert those vids to a usable format.

Gangs of New York was Scorcese, right? I just recently saw The Departed... he seems to be interested in the Irish side of the mob lately (or he just thought we were all through with the Italian side)... I got the distinct impression that some people watching that movie were probably thinking it was the picture of how Bostonians feel, speak, and behave. It kind of bugged me in knowing this, because I know that it is only representative of a very particular group of people. And I felt that it was odd how Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon were in it (who are from the area), but I guess they didn't feel it was too inaccurate or they just knew they were telling a story of select people who didn't represent all Irish and Italian Bostonians. But yeah... I feel the need to put the disclaimer out that not all Bostonians have some of the attitudes expressed in that film. We may know people, but knowing and being aren't the same thing.
And I noticed little things like that, which stood out to me. In one scene in particular I remember one of them (Matt Damon, I think?) had to say "queer" and he said it just dropping the R like most Bostonians do... but I remember growing up that whenever I heard "queer" in the Boston accent, it came out like "quayuh" [something like that, too hard to spell]. So I found that to be a little strange.
Anyway. Inaccuracies. Yep.
