Happy Birthday To Me

Tomorrow is my 36th birthday and I had the dopest of all parties last night.
It was truly wonderful.
All of my old friends came from near and far and met each other for the first time.
The boys all hung out and played Circle of Death, a card/drinking game invented by one of Mickey's buddies.
The girls all hung and talked and drank and danced and laughed for hours, with the handful of kids there coming around every so often to check in or just get a hug from one of the ladies.
There was five different kinds of beer.
I cooked chicken wings, which everyone LOVED.
The kids robbed the shit out of the candy bowl.
A new star was created in the universe the moment that every single one of my dear old friends had all arrived.
My mp3 mix was dead-the-fuck-on and the weather was sent from god.

Happy Birthday to me.

It's good to let go of the stress of being young and just give in to being an adult. Like, so what if I don't look perfect all the time or if I like nerdy, grown-folk things or if I rarely wear thongs anymore :blush: or I can't do as many push-ups (actually, that would bother me a lot).
Basically, I just like being able to say "I'm 36" and "My kid is 15" and people treat me like a woman, not a silly girl for some Chonga to start a fight with or some freak to hit on in a nasty way.
Maybe I'm not quite explaining it correctly. All I know is, I don't envy younger women/girls and I don't want to go back to that. I did more than enough of all the crazy shit that young girls do. I usually look at younger, good-looking girls and just hope that they feel the freedom to enjoy the youth and beauty like I did.
Damn, I had some crazy fun! What an animal I've been.

I was torn in my 20's (sometimes). Just make sure that you go on your adventures and keep improving your situation.
When you get into your 30's, you'll be proud of your age, wrinkles and gray hairs included.
Don't be afraid or embarassed to stand up for yourself and your right to enjoy yourself.
