About 56 hours until I'm no longer a single man...
...any last words?

Be as crude as you want.

I have about 3 weeks left.

Don't eat/drink the last of any food item/drink that your fiance loves.

Run! :panic:

I'm with Coz. Get out while you still can. The world doesn't need another divorce statistic.

(too far? I know, sometimes, I take it just over that line...)

Every once in a while (randomly), I buy my wife some flowers. If she asks what the occasion is (she rarely asks), I tell her it's just because I love her. They don't have to be expensive ($10 or less at the grocery store), but it is the thought outside of a specific occasion that she appreciates. My advise is to periodically do things that she appreciates without her asking you to do it and without it being for a specific occasion... (random acts of kindness, I suppose).

Congrats, again, on the upcoming wedding!:clap::cheers:

If I randomly bought my missus flowers, she'd wonder what I'd been up to!

Flowers remind women of their own ever-fading beauty. (After they begin to wilt, that is.)

Enjoy your wedding. And your marriage. And your partnership.

Turn off the electricity in your house for 4 days. If neither one of you hates the other after that, you've found The One.

The summer of Katrina, we lost power during 3 hurricanes, each time for no less than one week. Since we had well-water which came in through an electric pump, we had no running water during those times either. We fought a total of one time for five minutes. We played word games deep into the night and made up songs and ventured out to various fast food joints every day and walked around at night with our flashlights and poured-the-gallon-from-up-above for one another during showertime. If you and your significant other can't hang without electicity and/or running water in harsh weather for 4 days, then.....

I guess you don't have four days now, do you?

I hijacked your thread. Is your new wife gonna' beat my ass now, for you?

No honeymoon...I'm at work today. We're going to jacksonville in two weeks for my best man's wedding where we'll have a couple of days to ourselves in St. Augustine...then taking the kids with us to mexico for a week sometime in april or may.

As for stickin' it in the butt...that'd only get me dolphin style...

...let me know if I need to explain.

Its not as bad as it sounds...from an old joke...

Dolphin style is when you try to put it in the rear and she makes a squeeky dolphin sound "uhn uh, uhn uh" (more funny when you can actually make the sound)

Hey Brian, you're going to be by me! I'm in that area.

Coz, I'm sure not ALL of Mexico sucks! Josh's family wants us to go see it-- they talk about how beautiful it is. I bet we will go, someday...

I spent two weeks in Mexico.
I saw a lot of poor people, drank lots of bottled water, and one of the women we visited who was a "family friend" wrote us a most disturbing letter after we returned home. Basically, she hates my mom and my family for no logical reason.
Mexico is also a major place for human traffickers to make a profit.
There was some tasty food but you can find authentic Mexican food all over the US....

Mexico is without a doubt imperfect, but I can understand feeling a connection with the land or the history and finding beauty there. Especially some of the places where natural beauty is easier to recognize.
