hey frek if its an entire album full of pm dawn material guess what....it counts whether be likes it or not..... :flipoff: ......
i coulda made better remixes when i was 13 than the ones that are on there
why is all the music you make now so shit then???
haha, you have no idea what i'm makin now......i've taken a sharp turn
yo fd man, i'm gonna be sellin my keyboard real soon if ya want it so you can get off that playstation shit......it's a roland xp-50 and it's got a 16 track sequencer on it so you could do like the drums on one and then you got 15 more fore bass, strings, piano, synths whatever else.........i've used it for like everything for years so it should do you fine, and it aint gonna cost you an arm and a leg.......it's gonna wind up on ebay, but if ya want it yourself lemme know 1st
and if anyone wants a nice ibanez acoustic/electric cheap:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&item=917356692 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=917356692)
and i'm puttin a wicked seven string electric up soon too if anyone's interested
damn man, why sell off your guitars?? i'm thinking of buying an acoustic, i'd also like to get an ESP eclipse electric...

hahahaha funny...frek has all of you fooled..hes just fencin...he cant play or mix shit...... :flipoff: :flipoff:
actually, chiefs half right! i can't really do the guitars justice, i'm pretty good at rhythm and shit but programs'll recreate that and sound more professionally recorded than if i were to do it myself, and yo my 7 string is an esp ltd f-207, deep purple....gonna bundle it on ebay with a boss distortion pedal, compression/sustainer pedal, korg tuner, gig bag, and a double guitar stand.....hopin to get maybe $500 for it all..........oh yeah anyone wanna buy a motorcycle too?
nah, fuck that. you'll never get anywhere near a real guitar sound with keyboards or anything else. the steinberg virtual guitarist is ok, but still...i wouldn't say it's anything close to what you can do with real guitars. and since you have a decent soundcard now, all you'd need is like a basic preamp for your guitars to get a good sound out of them, then it's just a matter of production to make them sound professional.
i can't really play guitar or bass in the standard sense, but i can sit down and compose pieces with them anyway, and with some production skills make it sound half decent. i just figure it's always nice to have instruments like that around, you never know when you might want to sit down and work with guitar or real bass sometime. nothing beats real instruments. acoustic guitars are especially nice to have around just to sit back and compose stuff with. you dont have to be able to read music or play insane shit, it's just a matter of putting a little time into it so you can at least have a technically clean sound... anyway, just my thoughts on it.

and thanks, syxx
yeah i feel ya atma, but i'm really not an instrumentalist at heart.......wish i did have a more "live" sound sometimes though.....maybe if i ever find a singer/guitarist i can actually get along with enuff to do work, but doubt that'll ever happen, it'd be cool though, specially to have access to female vocals.........as for the writing thing, i've written so much shit on guitar but then the track features none at all, kinda funny......just gives ya a different perspective of chord progressions n shit on a different instrument i guess, so that part's kinda cool......all in all though there's gear i need way more than guitars so i guess it's a trade off
speakin a pre amps, been lookin into gettin a mic pre/DI box......the ARTs are sure as hell priced right and i hear there pretty good.....the DBXs seem good too, whatta youz use (atma and coz)?

again i say...no spinnin off into other posts..keep that shit too yourself...
too late, post officially hijacked
i'm sort of wary of ART stuff, same way i am with behringer. i know dbx makes some decent preamps. personally i just have a fatman 2 HHB Radius 5. it's basically a mono mic/instrument tube preamp with a decent compressor on it...

I just use the onboard pre-amps in the O1vs...I'm not very particular when it comes down to vocals.

So atma, behringer stuff is kinda shaky? I'm looking for a keyboard amp and the behringer looks like a damn good deal, but none of the music shops I've benn to carry it. Have you ever heard any of their amps?
Chief

SHENANIGANS!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah behringer stuff is MAD cheap, which kinda keeps me away from them too, i know we (sam ash) don't carry no behringer stuff any more, but i'm almost positive guitar center does, see if there's one in your area chris, and maybe test it out to see if it's crap (you can always return the shit even if it's special ordered). i'm actually about to pick up a behringer headphone pre amp, there only about $100, whereas the cheapest shit i can get through my store even with an employee discount is like $130 (a samson sphone).......i want sumthin in a 1 u rack and i figure it aint a big thing to go cheap, it's not like a headphone preamp does anything to get recorded (well unless your feeling really creative, ex. the feedback solo in "when it's raining cats and dogs"), besides how bad can you fuck up a headphone preamp? but if behringer fucks up sumthin as simple as that, then i wouldn't touch anything by them, i'll let youz know. as for a mic pre, i still got a while before i'll need one so i can still do my homework on them. whatta you think chief? :poke: (and fuck you, i used a pm dawn reference so it's perfectly valid  )

Yeah, frEk, the Guitar Center by my house doesn't carry berhinger any more either, but I'll ask them if they can special order it for me. Thanks for the tip.
And atma or Coz or anyone that has an opinion on berhinger amps, let me know.
Thanks

don't worry 'bout this one, Chief. I got the info i needed. They can do what they want now.
i would frek but postin is gonna cost a hella lot.
im thinkin of getting somthing pc based when i get a new system.
any suggestions (i want the shit, dont care if i spend 20 years reading the instructions)
just want a good all in one to get me started but dont have the knowledge of music in general to start buying real equipment yet.
and frek, was a joke pal i know your shits ill and i want a peice of that new shit.
and inside of you is pretty good, id work on that track some more.
cheeky fucker really arnet i, i'll plug my psone into my pc and get some mp3's going soon and you can all piss your pants.
well what's your computer specs and operating system? i'm usin cubase sx, but the sl version would do you fine and save you some money (unless you can get a cracked copy for free). you can also get logic for cheap as hell on the pc because macintosh bought it out so there aint gonna be no more updates for it for pc (kinda makes it not worth getting for alot of peeple though) and then there's sonar 2.0 which is a pretty powerfull program too, those are probably your best bets for pc.........and yeah, the manual for cubase sx for example is like 768 pages......i'm still trying to make a dent in it, if you want to record into the pc (like from the psone) you'll need a decent sound card, nuthin really top notch but made for recording (none of that soundblaster stuff) M-audio stuff is pretty cheap and pretty good too, i'm sure atma and coz can help you out with what to get too though..........and maybe take some piano lessons man, it'll help (in my opinion) if you get some music theory into your head.......you aint gotta get good, just enuff to grasp some basic concepts....although people make great shit that don't know nuthin about that, but i'm glad i went through the classical piano/jazz guitar lessons, i can't play for shit no more, but alot of the theory stuck with me..........other than the program and sound card, just a small midi interface and any old keyboard n you'll be set......unless your gonna wanna record vocals or instruments n shit down the line, then you'll need a sound card/audio interface geared for that..........and i know your jokin fd, but for real that shit's mad old........after i'm done settin up my shit and gettin it all learned good i'll get more serious shit goin, but yeah i might redo that track, kinda had sumthin to it a lil i think
hahaha, now fd can join in on our anti-chief conversations
