8 Mile was a pretty dope movie- I didn't think it was great, but it was still pretty good. Eminem, love him or hate him, is a creative mo-fo, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't try to listen to everything that he puts out. I don't necessarily agree with what he says either, but his style is truly ill.

You seem to know more about the music biz than me, so I accept that you're making a more informed statement than I can.

However, Eminem is not my boy as much as I respect his creativity and talent. He's made it clear that he wouldn't sell the way he does if he was black, I think that's pretty much a given. I'm not ever gonna say that he's the best rapper out there either . . . but I think he can battle in pretty elite company. He can really rip into an MC, and I don't think you can say that 25% of mainstream rappers out there could take him to pieces. I don't know if you could name 5 mainstream rappers that would kill him in a battle. Underground? I don't know enough, but I think it's kinda brash to discount his battle ability.

And what is the hype about 50 cent?!?!?! That cat has a nice flow and voice and all that, but how can you tell me that 50 cent could eat Em for breakfast? I'm surprised if 50 Cent can carry the same rhyme sound more than 4 times in his songs! 50 Cent will make his money by sounding different and doing what he does, but skillwise, I haven't heard anything from 50 that indicates he can perform lyrically on the same level like Eminem . . . and certainly not do it consistantly.
