For all of you who are into astronomy, whether it be a lot or just a little, the Leonid Meteors are going to be on display in just a few short days! This year should be incredible, and referred to as a Meteor Storm, with the earth plowing head-on into the comet debris. It is said this should be one of the most spectacular viewings in decades...so if you have interest in knowing more about this, i suggest visiting this site: http://www.spaceweather.com/
There you can find out more info on what a meteor shower is, and when the best time to view them will be! I am just hoping for clear skies!

Anyone get a chance to check this out? How about you, Elle? I wish i could say that i did, but as is usually the case, mother nature didn't cooperate with me...oh well...guess i will just have to wait for another chance to see the next big 'storm' in a few decades...**sigh**

well the good news elle is that the meteor showers happen every year...it is just that this year would have been more of what they call a 'storm' instead of just a measly meteor shower...and even if the skies were really clear, i am not sure how many you would have been able to see with the full moon...so don't kick yourself too hard....although i am upset that the night of the meteors it was raining, and last night it was clear as a bell...maybe i should go move somewhere more sunny and clear
